Club President-Elect Mike Kirchoff 2025-2026
Raised in Effingham, Mike is a 1981 graduate of Effingham High School. He also graduated from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston where he was a triple major, receiving degrees in business and economics. During his more than 35 years in the economic development profession, he has worked in four midwestern states. In his current role as a Key Account Executive with Ameren, he works with the company’s largest customers to address challenges and opportunities with an objective to increase jobs, investment, and consumption of utilities.
During his career he has been a member of Rotary in three states and multiple locations, having first joined the Jacksonville (Illinois) Rotary Club in 1997. He joined the Effingham Noon Rotary Club in 2018. A key objective for his term as Club President will be to identify best practices in other locations and adapt them as appropriate for the Effingham Noon Rotary, with a particular emphasis on new member growth.
Mike and his wife Lynn have been married for 35 years. She is a Senior Accountant for Kingery Printing in Effingham. They are parents of two daughters – Amy Rowald, a medical researcher in Kansas City; and Cari Jaeger, an investigator with the Jackson County (Kansas City, MO) Public Defender’s Office; and also have three grandchildren.
