Welcome to the Effingham Noon Rotary webpage!
We are just starting a new Rotary year (which runs July 1- June 30), and I am excited to see what this year will bring, including some long overdue updates to our website. We know that the internet is a key way people connect, and I hope that this page provides you with the information you need to determine if our club would be a good fit for you. We are a people of service and connection. The 2022-2023 theme of RI is “Imagine Rotary” – envisioning what we can do in our local communities and across the globe with a common goal in mind. Jennifer Jones, RI President, shares a quick note regarding her choice of theme here and I encourage you to take the time to view it.
We are committing this year to insuring each and every member of our local club feels valued and connected. Please join us at a meeting – 12:05 every Wednesday in the basement of the First Baptist Church. Let us know that you are there after viewing our website – I am happy to serve as your guide through the meeting!
I look forward to meeting you, and for our current members: I look forward to continuing to serve with you this year.
Letter to the Club - July 12, 2022
Thank you, again, for the warm welcome as the President of our Club for this coming year. I am honored to serve in this capacity and hope that you see my service in this role as a positive reflection of our club to the community.
As I shared in my presentation, I am proud of the work our Club has done in its 100+ years of existence, and I am excited to see the connections we make this year! The Directory for 2022-2023 will be in production soon and will be distributed as soon as it is available. One change you will note in the programs is I have marked placeholders for Committee Updates November 30th and April 19th. This will be a time for Committee Chairs to share what projects and needs are, and time permitting, for us as a Club to work on those needs. Per our discussion in the meeting, the Chair of the first program of each month will assist in insuring that programs are planned for that month.
While typically programs are scheduled in alphabetical order, due to some unforeseen circumstances and specific needs, there have been some modifications made to August.
If you have any questions, concerns, ideas or feedback – please do not hesitate to reach out to me! I look forward to seeing you on July 20th!
